Das Thema der Meeresverschmutzung und Ausbeutung versuchen wir mit dem Wasserstuhl zu verdeutlichen. Unsere Methode mit den umbauten / verkleideten Stühlen sollte sich auch hier wieder bewähren. Aus der Idee wurden Taten,und so befestigten wir Kanninchendraht am Stuhl, danach wurden aus den Maschen die Formen herausgearbeitet. Damit die Gewalt und Schönheit des Meeres zum Ausdruck kommt, haben wir die Form von Wellen gewählt, und diese dann am Grundgerüst befestig.
Das ganze Objekt beklebten wir mit Zeitungspapier und Kleister in meheren Schichten. Es entstand so wieder ein stabiles Objekt. Insgesamt sind es wieder zwischen 4 und 6 Lagen Papier, da wo das Objekt offen ist, wurde auch beidseitig geklebt.
Als das Objekt getrocknet war konnte es wieder mit Dispersionsfarbe vorgestrichen werden. Diese Farbe hat den Vorteil, dass sie zusätzliche Stabilität gibt. Da die Zeitungen doch sehr viel Druckerschwärze haben und damit nachher die Bemalung besser wirkt, haben wir den Stuhl zweimal vorgestrichen. Bei nur weißen oder hellen Farben wie Gelb oder Orange, ist ein dritter Voranstrich zu empflehlen.
Der letzte Anstrich erfolgte mit blauer Dispersionfarbe für die größerem Flächen, die Details wurden mit Acrylfarben gemalt.
Zum Abschluß haben wir den Stuhl nochmals mit einem Öko-Klarlack behandelt, der auch dem Papier die erforderliche Stabilität gibt. Um die Unbekümmertheit der Menschen zu diesem Ökosystem noch mehr zu verdeutlichen, verzierten wir den Wasserstuhl noch mit kleinen Segelbooten.
Man kann sich auf diesen Stuhl setzen, auch wenn er nicht für den täglichen Gebrauch ist.
