Es ist wieder Gartenzeit! Liebst du diese Monate, in denen die Draußenzeit überwiegt, auch so sehr? Wir nutzen in den Sommermonaten jeden Moment, um an der frischen Luft zu sein. Idealerweise haben wir einen großen Garten mit vielen gemütlichen Ecken, so dass es für jede Wetterlage den idealen Platz gibt: Sonnenplätze, Schattenplätze, windgeschützte Plätze und einen kleinen Wintergarten, falls es mal regnet.
So ein großer Garten fordert viel Einsatz, aber wir sehen das sehr entspannt. Bei uns muss nichts perfekt sein und es gibt viele Ecken, die ziemlich wild aussehen. Großen Spaß macht uns das Dekorieren und Blickpunkte schaffen. Dabei achten wir darauf, möglichst viele Upcyclingmaterialien oder natürliche Materialien zu verwenden. Wie gefällt euch zum Beispiel die alte Schubkarre oben? Sie hatte einige Löcher und war sehr rostig, so dass wir sie jetzt lediglich als Pflanzobjekt verwenden.
Vor einigen Jahren bekamen wir ein paar alte Autoreifen geschenkt. Die Landwirte nutzen diese gern, um die Planen, die draußen das Tierfutter bedecken, zu beschweren, damit sie bei Windstößen nicht wegwehen. Nach kurzer Recherche bei Pinterest und vielen Ideen, entschieden wir uns, einige Reifen mit einfacher 2in1 Farbe aus dem Baumarkt anzumalen. Es ist fast unglaublich: obwohl die Reifen seit 4 Jahren das ganze Jahr draußen stehen, hält die Farbe. Nebenbei sind die alten Reifen ideal, um sie mit Gartenblumen zu dekorieren. Und ganz nebenbei kosteten uns die Reifen nichts, günstiger geht es also nicht.
Die alte Badewanne war bei der Renovierung übrig. Auch sie ist inzwischen bepflanzt und gut in den Garten integriert. Wenn du dir das Bild genauer anschaust, wird dir auffallen, dass es in unserem Garten auch Giersch gibt. Ja, an einigen Stellen dürfen sich nicht so beliebte Kräuter und Pflanzen ausbreiten. Die Tiere freuen sich über wilde Ecken.
Die alte Milchkanne hatten wir vor Jahren angemalt, inzwischen blättert die Farbe wieder ab. Und genau das gefällt uns im Moment: die Zeichen der Zeit sind sichtbar. Alte Holzstümpfe und Stücke sind perfekt, um Blickpunkte im Garten zu schaffen. An manchen Stellen finden unsere Muscheln dort einen schönen Platz.
Feldsteine gibt es auf den Feldern rundherum genügend. Deshalb ist es naheliegend, Mauern oder Begrenzungen daraus zu bauen. Als hübschen Eyecatcher füllt die alte Pumpe den Platz in der Mitte gut aus.
Links auf dem Bild kannst du einen blühenden Rotkohl entdecken. Nachdem wir einen halben Rotkohl verspeist hatten, fing die andere Hälfte im Kühlschrank an zu keimen. Wir haben sie in den Garten gepflanzt, jetzt blüht der Kohl: originell, nicht wahr? Außerdem gibt es bei uns Apfelbäume und Stachelbeeren.
Natürlich lieben wir auch Blumen und Kräuter, alles möglichst regional, also typisch für diese Gegend. Und wenn sich einige Blumen selber aussäen und sich auf diese Art ihren Lieblingsplatz suchen, ist das auch okay.
In diesem Jahr sehen wir sehr wenige Insekten. Fast gar keine Schmetterlinge saßen auf unserem Flieder, nur wenige Biene summen in den Blüten der Blumen. Hoffentlicht erholt sich die Natur wieder!! Ich befürchte, dass dazu weitere Verbote notwendig sind: keine Giftduschen auf unseren Feldern, keine Gifteinsätze im Garten, nur um ungeliebte Pflanzen zu vertreiben. Lasst uns der Natur wieder mehr Chancen geben, sich selber zu regulieren. Ich bin sicher, es wird funktionieren.
