Kennt ihr das auch? Ihr probiert immer wieder gern Neues aus und plötzlich gefällt euch eine Idee so gut, dass ihr immer weiter neue Varianten entdeckt? Uns geht es so mit Segelschiffe aus Treibholz. Angefangen haben wir mit Treibholzbooten mit Stoffsegeln, doch das Nähen macht uns nicht wirklich Freude. Dann haben wir einige Boote ohne Segel also nur mit Seil gebaut, damit man sie als eine Art Pinnwand nutzen und kleine Notizen oder Fotos als Segel daran befestigen kann. Doch erst die Lösung mit Segeln aus Tiffanyglas begeistert uns. Anfangs war die Form der Segel ziemlich gleich, langsam werden die Segel etwas schwungvoller und wilder.
Inzwischen gibt es sogar 3-Master und Boote mit nur einem Segel. Ich glaube, diese Leidenschaft diese wunderbaren Schiffchen herzustellen wird uns so schnell nicht loslassen. Und Glasreste haben wir auch noch genug, da wir vor einiger Zeit günstig buntes Restglas erstanden haben.
Angefangen hat alles mit unserer Freude am Sammeln von Treibgut. Am Strand entlang streifen und den Blick über den Sand gleiten lassen entspannt uns. Und wenn man so viele wunderbare Fundstücke hat müssen sie ja auch verarbeitet werden. Ich denke, uns werden noch viele weitere Ideen kommen.
