Bisher trennt unseren Vorgarten von der Straße eine Minihecke aus Buchsbaum. Wir träumen allerdings von einem schönen Friesenwall. Da während des Pflügens auf dem Feld genügend große Steine zum Voschein kamen, die wir fleißig gesammelt haben, ist genügend Material für ein Stück Friesenwall vorhanden.
Zunächst einmal muss die Form gefunden werden. Stein für Stein findet seinen Platz. Das Ausprobieren macht Spaß und wir entwickeln immer neue Ideen.
Die Rundung ist geschlossen, die richtige Größe für den ersten Hügel gefunden. Die richtigen Steine sind ausgewählt. Die Spannung steigt!

Anschließend wird der Wall Schubkarre für Schubkarre mit Erde aufgefüllt. Schließlich sollen ja auch ein paar Pflanzen dort wachsen.
Eine alte Pumpe vom Flohmarkt soll als erstes einen Platz auf der Friesen-Mauer finden. Wir hatten Glück und nur 20 Euro für das schöne Teil auf dem Flohmarkt bezahlt. Nun ist das erste Stück unseres Friesenwalls von der Grundstruktur fertig und muss nur noch oben in der Mitte bepflanzt werden. Die Steine werden sich mit der Zeit richtig verfestigen und ineinander verkeilen, außerdem gibt es die Möglichkeit, auch zwischen den Steinen Pflanzen zu setzen. Aber das wollen wir zunächst nicht, aus Angst, dass die Grundform dann nicht mehr so gut zu sehen ist.
Geplant ist, noch einen weiteren Teil der Buchsbaumhecke durch weitere Steine zu ersetzen. Der Friesenwall soll nicht wie üblich komplett geschlossen werden, sondern nur stückweise als solcher bestehen. Wir finden die Kombination von Buchsbaum und Steinen sehr schön.
Und eine alte Pumpe ist eine wunderbare Idee als Gartendekoration, weil sehr authentisch ist. Früher gab es in den Gärten überall Pumpen.
