Beim Pflügen des Ackers sind wieder etliche Feldsteine zum Vorschein gekommen. Also schnell die Schubkarre geholt und die Steine eingesammelt. Jetzt ist unsere Mauer fast fertig und das nahezu kostenlos: naja, den Zement mussten wir kaufen.
Diese Art Mauer sind typisch für diese Gegend, da es genügend Steine auf den Äckern gibt. Jedes Jahr nach dem Pflügen der Felder kommen sie nach oben. Und da Steine sehr pflegeleicht und robust sind und nicht wie Holz immer gestrichen werden muss, eignen sie sich hervorragend, um daraus Mauern zu bauen.
An Steinen mangelt es nicht – man kann hier auf den Höfen auch Steine kaufen, falls jemand nicht hier wohnt und ein paar Steine mitnehmen will…
