Wir hatten einen schlichten Stuhl mit einer gepflochtenen Sitzfläche und einfachem Eisengestell. Eigentlich war der Stuhl ganz in Ordnung, nur eben langweilig und es gibt sehr viele davon. Also standen wir mal wieder vor der Frage: was machen wir damit. In der französischen Zeitschrift Marie Claire Idee, die ich sowieso einfach klasse finde, hatte ich dann einen ähnlichen Stuhl gesehen, den die Redakteure mit verschiedenen Bändern eingewickelt haben. Und Bänder hatten wir genug: in irgendeinem Geschäft hatte ich „Schnäppchen-Lust“ und mehrere Rollen Bänder gekauft. Eigentlich wollte ich sie auf Kissen nähen, bin aber nicht dazu gekommen, also lagen sie einfach herum. Möglicherweise kennt ihr diese „Schnäppchen“, die dann doch nicht die richtige Bestimmung finden und lange herumliegen 😉
Jetzt war also die passende Gelegenheit da, sie einzusetzen. Wir haben das Gestell mit glänzenden Satinbändern umwickelt. Das war ganz einfach, man benötigt allerdings viel Material. Die Enden haben wir einfach verknotet. Für die Sitzfläche haben wir ein Stoffteil zum Auflegen genäht. Auch hier hatte ich das passende Material zufällig liegen. Doch dieser Stuhl auch noch eine Besonderheit: an ihm hängen viele kleine Kristalltropfen, die schön im Licht glitzern. Sie geben dem Ganzen einen hochwertigen, edlen Touch.
Ich finde, diese Idee der Umgestaltung ist sehr zeitlos und man kann den Stuhl schnell wieder in den ursprünglichen Zustand zurückversetzen, wenn man die neue Lösung lange genug gesehen hat. Oder man lässt sich wieder etwas Neues einfallen.
