Bei der Suche nach geeigneten Möbeln zum Auf- und Umarbeiten sind wir bei einem Haushaltsauflöser auf ein altes Küchenbuffet gestoßen. Das Möbelstück hatte wohl schon mehrere Vorbesitzer, denn es wurde schon mehrmals
übergestrichen. Nach einigen Tagen Bedenkzeit hatten wir uns entschlossen, dieses Stück zu erwerben. Als wir uns auf einen Preis geeinigt hatten, konnten wir es dann mitnehmen. Das erste große Möbelstück.
Als erstes haben wir alle Flächen abgeschliffen. Es kamen hierbei etwa vier Anstriche plus Originallack zum Vorschein.
Einige kleine Beschädigungen konnte man mit etwas Lackspachtel ausbessern. Danach haben wir mit dem Voranstrich begonnen. Die Farbe haben wir mit einem Lackfarbroller aufgetragen. Nach dem Trocknen stellten wir fest, dass das Holz die Farbe komplett aufgesogen hatte, also mussten wir den ganzen Schrank nochmals streichen. Nun deckte die Farbe richtig. Da das Buffet aus zwei Teilen bestand, zeigen wir hier nur das Oberteil.
Damit die Oberfläche glatt wird, mußte nach jedem Farbanstrich die Oberfläche mit feinem Sandpapier geschliffen und entstaubt werden. Die Vorarbeiten waren nun abgeschlossen und es konnte zum eigentlichen Farbauftrag kommen. Wir entschlossen uns den Schrank rot zu lackieren und einige Details andersfarbig zu gestalten.
Das Buffet wurde von Innen und Außen komplett lackiert. Als Kontrast haben wir das Innenteil und die Vorderfront des Korpus orange gestrichen, so dass sich die Türen farblich abhoben.
